James' mom is a 1st grade teacher in the St. Charles school district. She is highly praised not only for her teaching skills, but also for her creative classrooms. I recently dropped in on her at school while she was redoing her classroom for this upcoming year. Besides decorating her own room, she did another teacher's room as well. I truly wished I had been lucky enough to have her as a teacher. She is so talented that I just couldn't wait to blog about her!
Her room drips with charm and love for what she does. She says she still is doing more to her room when I came in, but I think she could walk away now and still be incredibly proud of what she gives to her students.
Even the marker boards are adorable

Organizational unit for the students glue, tape, scissors, extra
For extra chairs she spray painted tan wicker stools and added the red button and trim

Her classroom roman shades
The classroom mailbox
Pinwheels that weren't up yet, but I loved them anyways
Trash cans she turned over for seating in the other classroom she decorated
Reading area illuminated with paper lanterns
Roman shade that she made out of Ikea fabric
Welcome Board she created for another teacher (you can see the roman shade in the background)
