Our Final Product

Au revoir 1167 Jackson!
Well, at least for a year or so...James and I have handed our renters their keys to the house. We hope you have enjoyed watching her transform over the past year or so. Below is just a quick Before & After of the main parts of the house.

Ladies and Gentleman, that's over 40 planets along that fence.

Added a new retaining wall along the back near the shed and also got new patio furniture from Target.

KITCHEN
Before

Mismatched appliances - ugh!
New matching appliances, but that space is still lacking something...
After

Now the space seems to flow better with the addition of a half-wall and soffit that was created to cover up the pipes we added for the master bath.

Unfortunately, I don't have an images of our kitchen completely put together with the new flooring we added, but here is a picture of what it looked like right before the renters moved in.

Yes, I did make a gift basket for our renters. And I also love Star Trek. Deal with it.

GUEST BEDROOM
Not much changed, but a new ceiling fan and James painted all the doors on the main floor black, which turned out really nice.
2nd GUEST ROOM/OFFICE

Again, not much changed, but a new ceiling fan.

Don't you just love the gun next to the bed? HA!

Master Suite Walk-in Closet Before
....well since it was a completely new addition we have no before photos so on to
Master Suite Walk-in Closet After!
I could have organized it more for the after photo, but the past month has been such a complete blur that I thought I had taken a photo of it empty and with the trim up before the renters moved in, but I was wrong.

And so that is it.
Definitely a bitter sweet moment for us since this was our first project together and where we spent the beginning of our relationship. 1167 Jackson showed us that we work well together through stress and hard manual labor, that we are style twins, and that we can accomplish some pretty awesome things together. Oh, and patience. Something neither one of us had before.
What are we up to next? Well, James and I are moving on up to a big historic home that is 104 years old.

Oh yeah, bring it on.

Love,
M and J
